Inspired by community engagement and innovative design to meet the needs of its changing student body, the 106 year old St. Francis College has customized a new campus at The Wheeler. The recently completed 10-story tower above the landmark art deco Macy’s department store located on Livingston Street in downtown Brooklyn.

The new three story campus occupies 255,000 sq. ft. space over the fifth, sixth and seventh floors and 2,600 sq. ft. of outdoor space. Lilker Technology Solutions Group was responsible for all new IT Cabling, Security and Audiovisual systems. The contemporary facilities include a new hot isle containment data center, hands-on science teaching lab, a 260-seat cafeteria, a 300-seat auditorium, 6,600 sq. ft. library, art gallery spaces, a 32-seat tiered screening room and radio/podcast studio. All labs and classrooms have been designed with built-in technology that accommodate a range of class structures and teaching styles. The college has planned student enrollment to be more than 3,500 students by 2026.
