As a Mechanical Engineer at Lilker Associates, you will join our growing Healthcare and Life Sciences team and you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects and systems.

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated engineer with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and 5 to 10 years of experience in the design of HVAC systems for Healthcare & Life Sciences projects.

Position is a full time with a competitive benefits package.

Required Qualifications

  • Knowledge of healthcare code compliance requirements and industry standards
  • Understanding of pressure relationships for healthcare occupancies
  • Proficient with the use of Trane Trace 700, pressure differential tables, AutoCAD and Revit
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent technical skills; strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and in a highly collaborative team environment
  • EIT or PE is preferred, but not required
  • LEED Accreditation a plus

As an Electrical Engineer at Lilker Associates, you will join our growing Healthcare and Life Sciences team and you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects and systems.

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated engineer with a BS in Electrical Engineering and 5 to 10 years of experience in the design of electrical systems for Healthcare & Life Sciences projects. Must be familiar with production in MS Office, AutoCAD and/or Revit.

Position is a full time with a competitive benefits package.

Required Qualifications

  • Knowledge of healthcare code compliance requirements and industry standards
  • Preparation of Field Surveys and Site Diligence Reports
  • Prepare design calculations and specifications
  • Assist clients in preparation of CON applications, permits and construction documents for projects
  • Attend owner/contractor meetings at construction site to monitor progress and resolve field conditions
  • EIT or PE is preferred, but not required
  • 5-10+ years’ experience in healthcare design
  • LEED Accreditation a plus

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of healthcare code compliance requirements and industry standards
  • Plumbing and fire protection design for a wide variety of project types. Specification writing required
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers
  • Preparation of field surveys and site diligence reports
  • Prepare documents for filing, site connection proposals, cross-connection control, and industrial waste. Attend meetings with authorities having jurisdiction to resolve issues
  • Prepare gas service requests with utility companies (i.e., Con Ed, National Grid, PSEG, etc.)
  • Project management experience desirable
  • Review shop drawings
  • Client management
  • Assist clients in the development of probable construction cost estimates
  • Attend owner/contractor meetings at construction site to monitor progress and resolve field conditions

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural, Mechanical or Civil Engineering
  • 5-10+ years’ experience in healthcare design
  • 12+ years’ experience in plumbing and fire protection design
  • NCEES Professional Fire Protection Engineering Licensure desirable
  • CPD Certification desirable
  • Experienced with filing procedures for construction documents, site connection proposals, cross-connection control, and industrial waste
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Proficient in hydraulic calculations including familiarity with HASS
  • Familiarity with MS Word and Excel
