On its Queen’s campus, St. John’s University relocated the College of Professional Studies (CPS) to 20,000 sq. ft. of renovated space on the 2nd floor of St. Augustine Hall. Lilker provided full MEP/FP design for the new open workstation plan, which accommodates approximately 120 to 140 people with minimal partitions. The entire floor has new Fire Alarm devices and new electrical feeders to the floor from the basement. Phase II of the CPS renovation required adding an approximately 4,600 sq. ft. state-of-the-art laboratories hub, including multipurpose room, computer science classroom, Innovation Lab, Cyber Security Lab, Homeland Security Lab and a student work exhibit area.
For additional building and floor renovations at both its Queens and Manhattan campuses, the University retained Lilker’s Technology Solutions Group (TSG) to provide IT cabling and security design services. Recent projects include a new three story, 150,000 sq. ft. facility with classrooms, administrative offices and new Data center space in Manhattan; and 165,000 sq. ft. of renovation at St. Augustine and Bent Halls in Queens. Lilker provided Information Technology Cabling Infrastructure Design Services; Security Card Access & CCTV System Design Services and Audio Visual System Design Services.
