The 100,000 sq. ft. new Sephardic Community Center is a transformative expansion of the 30-year old, 60,000 sq. ft. building originally housing the Center. The Center is now multifunctional, comprising a pre-school, health club, two fitness centers, fitness classrooms, racquetball courts, two gymnasiums, pool, café, youth adult/senior centers, conference room, main lobby display and administrative offices. Lilker designed all the audio systems for the fitness classrooms and the gymnasium local sound systems, and coordinated with the cable TV vendor to provide a central TV distribution system so that all flat monitors would have the capability to display the same or different images. Audio and video distribution systems were designed for the second floor fitness center. Lilker designed a multi-zoned audio distribution system which includes background music throughout all floor hallways and main lobby, and a digital daily event calendar display system that can be updated from multiple locations.
