Combining two dwelling units into a spacious 3,284 sq. ft. single residence required Lilker’s full MEP/FP engineering services. Lilker Lighting Group provided lighting design services. Located in a high-rise building fronting New York’s Central Park, the residence features a unique perimeter corridor with wood slat ceiling that runs the full length of the home and floor-to-ceiling windows that provide a sweeping view. Frosted glass pocket doors can partition individual rooms for privacy. Museum quality recessed lighting highlights the owners’ expansive art collection and library throughout. Highly polished Venetian plaster and lacquered wall surfaces are grazed with light. A custom glass fin ceiling over the dining table, internally illuminated with a knife-edge uplight cove, functions as a light fixture and special decorative element.
