Lilker Associates performed a feasibility study of the mechanical, electrical, fire protection and plumbing systems serving the proposed Gamma Knife at the Stitch Radiation Oncology Center, and provided the subsequent engineering requirements for the demolition and redesign of the existing LINAC vault which was upgraded to incorporate the new Elekta Gamma Knife and control room. MEP infrastructure was arranged to support the new Gamma Knife, and a new adjacent treatment suite which was designed to reinforce the new program. The existing MEP/FP equipment was designed to be relocated under the corridor for the structural reinforcement path of the Gamma Knife. Design requirements met FGI 2018 requirements.

Gamma Knife Radiosurgery is a non-surgical medical procedure recognized as the preferred treatment for brain tumors, arteriovenous malformations, and brain dysfunctions. Lilker provided services to elevate their facilities with the newest and most modern version of Gamma Knife technology.
