The Coney Island area of Brooklyn was particularly hard hit by the Hurricane Sandy, and schools in the vicinity were no exception. Lilker swung into action for the New York City School Construction Authority conducting assessments, and performing more than $100 million of HVAC, mechanical and electrical remediation, replacement, and upgrade measures to ensure prompt, effective restoration of those systems at six schools. Lilker served as prime MEP consultant for PS 329K, PS 188K, PS 90K, IS 303K, PS 47Q & PS 146Q.
