



After nearly 60 years in Midtown Manhattan, L’Oréal USA has moved into its new U.S. headquarters at 10 Hudson Yards, Tower C. Presently, 1,300 L’Oréal USA employees occupy 10 floors of the building, spanning more than 405,000 sq. ft. of the 1.8 million sq. ft. Platinum LEED designed Tower on Manhattan’s West Side. Lilker Associates provided mechanical/electrical/plumbing and fire protection design and IT cabling for the fit-out of private offices, open workstations, meeting rooms and support spaces.
The office space was designed with collaboration in mind. The state-of-the-art office features an array of bespoke areas designed to fuel L’Oréal’s innovation engine, including an interactive virtual retail room for advanced retail planning, a technical salon and treatment room for product evaluation, and a learning center for employee trainings. An employee cafe and 4,000 sq. ft. terrace on the 32nd floor, features indoor and outdoor seating areas with striking views of the Hudson River and downtown skyline. Other employee amenities include a flagship company store, an employee nail salon, an on-site employee concierge, and a wellness suite with four mother’s rooms and two meditation rooms.
Lilker’s Technology Solutions Group (TSG) provided the IT cable, security and audiovisual infrastructure designs. These spaces include a 1,500 sq. ft. server room, 10 IDF closets (one per floor), station and wireless access network cabling throughout. Security designs include new security access control and video surveillance system. Audiovisual design includes the infrastructure for multiple conference rooms, 40 person board room with video conference capability, divisible conference rooms, flexible usage cafeteria floor and an open meeting/presentation space.
