Lilker Energy Solutions provided LEED Fundamental and Enhanced Commissioning services for the Health Care for the Homeless project. This project earned LEED Gold Certification, ABC Award of Excellent Merit, 2009 USGBC Maryland New Construction Project of the Year, 2009 ULI Baltimore WaveMaker Award and received Mid-Atlantic Construction Magazine’s Best of ’09 Award of Merit. The project consisted of a 3-story, 56,000SF facility that contains office and clinical treatment spaces in support of HCH’s mission to provide health-related services, education and advocacy to reduce the incidence and burdens of homelessness in Maryland. The energy efficient systems included water source heat pumps, gas fired boilers, induced draft cooling tower, an ERV unit and a green roof.
