Lilker Energy Solutions (LES) provided the LEED fundamental and enhanced commissioning as well as the LEED consulting for construction of the new Army Navy Country Club. The 4-story, 95,965 sq. ft. clubhouse includes sports shops, meeting rooms, a lounge and bar, food service kitchens, administrative offices, locker rooms, and loading and receiving facilities. A significant central plant comprising multiple modular boilers, frictionless centrifugal chillers, cooling tower, and associated pumps serves the building and provides heating and chilled water to roof top units that provide conditioned air to the VAV boxes. Equipment is controlled by a Building Automation System. The clubhouse achieved a LEED Silver rating for new construction, with 38 points earned—one point below LEED Gold requirements— for energy efficiency, renewable power, low toxicity materials and recycled construction waste, among other items.
