Lilker Associated provided MEP/FP design services for the lobby and tenant amenity spaces of the nine-story, commercial building at 55 M Street, SE. Work included renovation of the 1,500 sq. ft. ground floor lobby, with HVAC and sprinkler design integrated into the architectural wood hull structure and ceiling requiring close coordination to locate MEP elements within the wood slat ceiling. On the lower level, the 1,500 sq. ft. fitness center included an overhaul of shower and locker rooms and at the rooftop terrace and penthouse the design required a new bar, toilet rooms and an irrigation system for the green roof.
Lilker Lighting Group provided unique lighting solutions for each of the three public spaces including evocative color-changing niches inspired by light art installations and custom, dramatic blue lighting in the fitness center. Close collaboration with the architect was required to detail and coordinate the integration of lighting within the architectural elements.
Technology Solutions Group provided technology engineering design services for the structured cabling and telecommunications infrastructure, audio visual and security system consulting.
