Lilker Associates is providing M/E/P Engineering services for this unusual project, a new residential building of approximately 150,000 sq. ft. The new 24-story building comprises 50 apartments with cellar parking, a residential lobby and a restaurant on the ground floor and cellar. It is being built above two existing 5-story structures— a 14,700 sq. ft. commercial building and a 40,000 sq. ft. office building. The smaller building has 42,496 sq. ft. in unused air rights, while the latter has 23,550 square feet. The new tower will rise atop the existing structures while the old facades will be kept intact.
